How to use the in-depth document modal?
The Document Modal in AIREX offers a detailed and interactive view of individual contracts within the repository. It is a pop-up interface that provides a snapshot of all relevant information about a specific contract. For this demo, let’s consider a lease PDF as an example. When you single-click on the document in the repository, the modal opens on the top-left side of the screen.
Core Features of the Document Modal
1. Title and Counterparties
At the top of the modal, you’ll see the title of the document, which serves as a clear identifier. If counterparties are associated with the contract, their details are also displayed, offering quick insight into the agreement's participants.
2. Full Document View
On the left side of the modal, you’ll find the full content of the contract. This section allows you to scroll through the text without needing to open the full editor, enabling rapid review of key clauses or terms.
3. Document Details Section
The right side of the modal contains the Document Details section, which lists:
The file name for quick identification.
The folder where the document is stored, ensuring proper organization.
Dates, such as when the contract was created or last modified.
Details about counterparties and other metadata.
This section provides a comprehensive overview of the document’s essential information.
4. AI-Generated Summary
Beneath the details, the AI Summary dynamically updates whenever a document is uploaded or edited. This feature offers a concise overview of the contract, highlighting key points such as:
The purpose of the agreement.
Critical clauses, such as payment schedules or obligations.
Potential areas for review or negotiation.
The AI Summary saves time by providing immediate insight into the contract’s content.
5. Notes Section
Below the AI Summary is the Notes Section, a space where users can add personalized reminders or updates. For instance, you might add a note like, “Have this lease reviewed by the legal team by Friday.” These notes are saved directly to the modal, ensuring they remain accessible whenever the document is revisited.
Interactive Actions Available in the Modal
1. Download Option
At the top of the modal, you’ll find a Download Button. Clicking this button lets you choose between downloading the document as a PDF or Word file, offering flexibility depending on your needs.
2. Email Option
Next to the download button is the Email Button, which opens the email modal. From here, you can compose and send the document directly to recipients without leaving the platform. For a more detailed explanation, refer to the Email Documents Demo.
3. Edit Option
The Edit Button is another powerful feature of the modal. Clicking it reveals fields that can be modified directly within the interface, such as updating the counterparties or editing the Notes Section. For example, if you want to add a reminder in the Notes Section, you can do so and then save the changes. These updates are immediately reflected and stored within the modal for future reference.
4. Open in Contract Editor
If you need to make extensive edits, the Open Button at the top right of the modal directs you to the full contract editor. This transition is seamless and allows users to dive into detailed adjustments without losing any saved changes.
The Document Modal is designed to bridge the gap between quick contract review and detailed editing. It consolidates critical details, offers dynamic AI insights, and provides tools for personalizing document management, all within an intuitive interface. Whether you need to review a contract, add a note, email it to a colleague, or download it for offline use, the modal ensures you can handle these tasks efficiently.
